I don’t know about you, but by Saturday I have to catch up on all the household chores that I let slide during the week. This week why not schedule one Saturday chore each day so that on Saturday the list is a little shorter. We all need some time for rest on the weekends. It is important for our physical and mental health, but we also need to schedule some time to do something fun, like sewing, crafting, reading a great novel, going for a hike, kayaking, fishing, hunting, shopping, going to a concert, catching a movie, and the list goes on and on. It is great to include family and friends for these activities, but make sure to have some special “you” time to regerate your battery.
Saturday is also a good time to check on aging relatives, bake cookies with grandchildren, share a cup of coffee and memories with your sister, lend an ear to your children, and pray together around a delicious dinner with your family. Today more than ever, there is less and less human interaction, which is important to our well being. So, make a special effort to spend time with others and be present in the moment. God Bless You!
