“Always be humble and gentle. Be patient with each other, making allowances for each other’s faults because of your love” (Ephesians 4:2).
It’s Friday and time to spread the word. This week I encourage you to start at home. Often we take out our bad days and frustrations on the ones we love the most. These are the same people who take care of us when we feel our worst.
My husband is the most wonderful person I know. When I didn’t feel well last night, he cooked me dinner and took care of me after he had worked all day and was tired. He is always attentive to my needs. After nearly thirty years of marriage, I can think of no one I would rather be married to. We take turns being there for each other, always looking for ways to do something extra. Doing something extra doesn’t necessarily mean a gift from the store. Sometimes it’s a kind word and a hug. This kind of love makes it possible for me endure stress away from home.
So, today join me in remembering to spread the love at home first. God bless you.
