As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.                                       Proverbs 27:13

It’s a great day to praise and worship God, and restore ourselves for the work week.  After a big birthday celebration with both children yesterday, today after church my husband I decided to rest.

While resting, we watched the movie Hacksaw Ridge.  I posted a review and the trailer on my movie review page.  I was taken by the theme of doing what you believe is right no matter the cost or what others think.  I wish we saw a little more of this today.  Instead of worrying so much about what others think, or impressing others, we should all stand up for what we believe in.  It’s an honorable trait that we should not be afraid to show.  Eleanor Roosevelt once said “do what you feel in your heart to be right, for you will be criticized anyway.” People talk and make fun, but it is good to have God by your side.  If you haven’t already seen the movie, I hope you will give it a chance and let me know what you think.  I also encourage you to join me in praising God, resting today, and standing up for what you believe is right.  Be convicted!

  1. I used to belong to the same church as the main character in Hacksaw Ridge. I still keep the seventh-day sabbath. I’m looking forward to seeing the movie when it comes on Pay-per-view. I know his story, as I read a book about him when I was younger.
