For with God nothing shall be impossible. Luke 1:37
What inspires you? What are you motivated by on the deepest level? What drives you forward to complete tasks? What really energizes you? What are you passionate about? What do you enjoy? What do you do well? These are common interview questions to determine strengths, but the questions can also be used as a powerful soul-searching tool. The answers are different for every person. While there are no wrong answers, your answers will speak volumes about you. Your motivation may vary according to the task. Often what we are motivated by is reflective of our childhood and past experiences. Think about it.
One thing that I’m motivated by is making a difference. This is sometimes in the lives of other people, and sometimes in a macro world view. We all make a difference in the lives of others and in the world, whether we realize it or not. So, the question becomes are you making the kind of change you would like to see in the world? Everything we do leads to change. Every person we have contact with is affected by our actions, as we are by their actions. Do your actions result in a domino reaction or a construction project? Today, join me in being more thoughtful about how our actions and reactions impact others and the world.
