Rise up and pray. Luke 22:46
It’s Praise the Lord Sunday and Spring Break in our community. What a beautiful weekend it has been! The weather is perfect and Spring is in the air. I spent time volunteering yesterday to raise money for children in our community with the Jackson County Optimist Club. It felt good to help out and I enjoyed the company of the other members. I encourage you to join your local Optimist Club and help the children in your community.
A combination of helping to raise money for children and being aware of Spring Break taking place this week has made me more aware of the need to pray for our children, not only during Spring Break, but every day. Of course, we all thank God daily for our children and pray for their safety and welfare, but we need to pray for all the children for they are our future. So rather than rise up, I challenge you to spring up in prayer for the children!
The drawings for the two Amazon gift cards was yesterday. I’m excited to announce that Kelsey Escoriaza is the winner for the category My Morning Routine. Kelsey sent in a cute video of herself getting ready for work. I hope you will take time to visit her YouTube Video Blog and keep her in your prayers as she and her husband continue their journey to conceive a baby. The winner for the What’s In My Bag contest is Paula Livergood. Paula submitted several entries into both categories. She is a Girl Scout leader and strives to make the world a better place for girls. Paula and her family will be traveling to Disney World this week, so keep them in your prayers too. Thank you for all the submissions. Keep the faith and God bless you!
