Greater is he that is in me. – 1 John 4:4
I can hardly believe it’s Friday already. It’s time to spread the Love.
Have you ever been broken-hearted or do you know someone who is broken-hearted? Have you ever had so much intense emotional pain and longing that you were physically ill? It’s a scientific fact that people can actually die from Broken Heart Syndrome or Stress Induced Cardiomyopathy (American Heart Association website). What happens is the heart grows larger for a period of time and does not pump as effectively. The symptoms mimic a heart attack, and usually start with chest pain and shortness of breath.
If you are feeling broken-hearted, first turn to Jesus. Pray to the one who is always there and understands. Then, know that others may not completely understand, but do care. Seek out support groups and never give up. If you know someone who is broken-hearted, it can be very frustrating, but never give up on them Be a sounding board for them. Look for ways to cheer them. Spend time with them and seek out professional help if needed.
On this beautiful Friday, I challenge you to bring cheer to the broken-hearted. God bless you!
