Do not be anxious about anything. Philippians 4:6-7
Happy Wednesday! During the middle of the week it’s easy for our worries to get the best of us. Sometimes it’s stretching money until payday. Sometimes it’s the stress of trying to meet deadlines at work. Sometimes it’s exhaustion from trying to do too much (multiple jobs, family, home, and other demands). Sometimes it’s trying to turn in school work on time. Sometimes it’s sitting in the hospital and praying for a loved one or even yourself . It seems like if we can get just past Wednesday, there is hope. The truth is when we are feeling anxious, we need to take a deep breath and remember that we don’t ever have to worry because God has everything under control.
First Peter 5:7 says “[c]ast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.” Worrying only sends us into a tailspin. It never helps the situation at hand, and usually makes it more difficult. I came from a long line of worriers and I know it’s hard to break the habit. However, when we step back, ask God to take care of things, and trust that he will, everything is always better.
Today, trust God and help others to do the same. God bless you.
