Use Your Gifts to Change the World Wednesday – Appreciation Revisited

We never know what is going on in someone else's life. The cashier at the grocery store may have been beaten by her spouse before work. The lady at the bank may have lost a loved one on the very day she is helping you. Your waiter may be living in his car. The man who repairs your car may be thinking about his child, that his wife has, after walking out . . .

Every good and perfect gift is from above.       James 1:17

Happy Wednesday!  What better time to use your gifts to change the world?   Have you thought about the opportunities today holds?  Several months ago I suggested telling everyone you meet, or have any type of dealings with, “I appreciate you!”  I did this, as did others, and the results were amazing and surprising.  Everyone involved was positively impacted.

We never know what is going on in someone else’s  life.  The cashier at the grocery store may have been beaten by her spouse before work.  The lady at the bank may have lost a loved one on the very day she is helping you.  Your waiter may be living in his car.  The man who repairs your car may be thinking about his child, that his wife has, after walking out and leaving him this morning.  In addition, everyone has different gifts, different ways of communicating, and different ways of coping.  So, the simple comment “I appreciate you” is a non-threatening hug that you can share where you go.  The responses are your rewards.  Trust me when I say, there is nothing like it.

So, today I challenge you to use your gifts to make the world a better place by telling everyone “I appreciate you!”  Please share your experiences.  God bless you!
