Have no fear of sudden disaster or of the ruin that overtakes the wicked, for the Lord will be at your side and keep your foot from being snared. Proverbs 3:25-26
Praise the Lord it’s Sunday! Look around you. The world is beautiful, yet I have heard many people talking about fear of war, politics, their financial future, guns, healthcare, and natural disasters. Don’t be afraid. The Bible says as Christians we don’t have to be afraid. What we need to have is something we cannot see, smell, touch, taste or hear. We must have faith. Luke says “faith does not make things easy; it makes them possible” (Luke 1:37). It’s “being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see” (Hebrews 11:1). Paul told the Corinthians to walk by Faith not by sight, and I guess you could say some things have not changed, because that is what we need to do today (2 Corinthians 5:7).
Of course, you need to get up and do your part. Don’t sit around waiting for everything to fall into your lap. I once heard a speaker tell a story about a little boy who had missed the school bus and was sitting on the curb. She walked up to the little boy and said “what are you doing?” The little boy said “praying”. The woman looked up and the school bus was only a couple of car distances away. The lady said “run while you pray!” I chuckle every time I hear the story, but it’s so true. Do your part and trust God with the rest.
Have a wonderful Sunday and Praise God! God bless you!
