For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways. Psalm 91:11
Happy Saturday from the Big Apple! Ever feel like you are surrounded by angels? Have you ever felt that things you never anticipated fall into place like a series of coincidences. Well, I don’t believe in coincidences.
My trip to New York City was filled with moments like these. Thursday night I went to bed with an unsettling feeling. Something I just couldn’t explain. On the way to the airport and while on the plane, I prayed the blood line of Christ for the protection of those aboard. Whenever we arrived at LaGuardia, our plane circled above the airport for 45 minutes before going to Baltimore to refuel. No planes were allowed to land because of bad turbulence that had occurred when another plane experienced a loss of control. We were delayed about five hours total. No one was angry. Everyone aboard talked about how God had our plane in his hands. Then, the flight attendant requested everyone do at least one random act of kindness. I couldn’t believe my ears. Guess what? We did more than once.
That’s not all. The entire trip I spent getting better acquainted with my travel companion and friend. She talked about tending the garden. That was my blog topic for yesterday. We discussed similar callings into the ministry and so much more. She even had an opportunity to witness to a nice man on the plane. My staff lifted my spirits and my husband told me he prayed all day.
I know that God orchestrated this trip. I may not understand all the reasons or the purpose, but I’m excited to learn how a couple of small town women can do God’s work in the Big Apple. God bless you.
