Let all that you do be done in love. I Corinthians 16:14
Good Morning! Yesterday was our first full day in New York City. I learned so much about the land uses, districts, transportation, history, and delicious food. The best lesson of all was the willingness of native New Yorkers to help two small-town ladies find their way. We certainly were lost most of the day, but there was not a shortage of people who were willing to assist us. I find the Big Apple to be a little like a delicious apple pie. There is a diversity of spicy people, who are sweet and bound by their location.
While on a boat tour, we were able to see the Statue of Liberty. It’s amazing how much that statue meant to me. I almost teared up taking in every moment. The details were beautiful despite the amount of time she has been holding the torch in all types of weather. She’s still guiding the poor, tired and homeless into the melting pot of the United States. All the passengers fought the rain and wind to make a selfie, or at least take a photo of the statue. That’s when I thought of God. He’s been around so much longer, and the storms he’s endured have been so much greater. Yet, he’s still there for us, willing to help and guide us through life if we let him. The Statue is a symbol, but God is real. He always loves us. How Great is Our God.
So, this morning, I’m praising God from the Big Apple. I hope you will join me this morning in praising God, wherever you are. God bless you.
