Tell Me Something Good Monday – What Would a Christian Do Scenario #2

In the Gret Commission found in Mark 16:15-16, we are instructed to go "into all of the world, and preach the gospel to every creature" because only those who believe will be saved. Even in 2017 there are places where Christians place themselves and others in danger by preaching God's word. . .

I will not cause pain without allowing something new to be born says the Lord.  Isaiah 66:9

Happy Monday!  I have several good things to share this morning.  I’m not in the hospital.  I’m headed back to work, which is particularly exciting since I have the best staff in the world.  I love, love, love them.  Finally, I spent  a nice relaxing Sunday with my husband just enjoying his company.  Life is truly wonderful when you walk with God.  That’s not to say that you won’t experience rejections, disappointments, set backs and upsets, but you will never be alone when you look to God.

What Would a Christian Do? – Scenario #2

In the Gret Commission found in Mark 16:15-16, we are instructed to go “into all of the world, and preach the gospel to every creature” because only those who believe will be saved.  Even in 2017 there are places where Christians place themselves and others in danger by preaching God’s word.

For example, American Jeffrey Edward Fowle was detained by the North Korean government for leaving his Bible in his hotel room in April of 2014.  Anyone with a Christian bible is considered a spy in North Korea.  Since the 1970s Christians have been persecuted in Cambodia.  China continues to torture Christians.  Christians are persecuted and churches burned down in Columbia.  While inroads are being forged in Cuba, it is still dangerous to openly display Christian beliefs.  In Egypt Christians were accused of poisoning the water and planning to attack Muslim neighborhoods resulting in the death of 21 Christians.  While the government in India does not persecute Christians, it has created an environment for random attacks to take place such as that of 52 year-old, Yesu-Dasu.  His hands were tied and his head chopped off by an axe.  His body was left in a field of cattle.

Christians in Indonesia are often forced to undergo conversion rituals.  Those refusing are beheaded and churches are bombed.  The goal in Laos is to completely eradicate Christians.  Most Christians in Malaysia are ostracized.  It’s illegal for churches to be constructed in Myanmar.  At least two Christians in northern Nigeria were caned to death.   Christian Life in the Philippines is dangerous.  Twenty-nine Christians were lined up and shot at close blank range in Bumbaran.  Only eight survived.  Life is also very difficult for Christians in Russia, the world’s largest country.  Sudan is one of the most brutal countries toward Christians, forcing Islamic conversion.  Christian beliefs are difficult in Vietnam.  Even in the United States we have to be careful in our witness to others, because it may infringe on their rights.

Having said all of that, early Christian leaders and believers were also tortured, but where would Christianity be today if they had not fought to spread the Gospel?

What Would a Christian Do?  I look forward to your responses.  God bless you.

  1. Scripture is the best way to answer this question, which is relative to persecution. We know that during the end times, persecution is warned about. We also know that the Great Tribulation is not going to be avoided; as many false preachers/teachers are telling people. We need to be familiar with the Bible ourselves and not rely on what a preacher/teacher is telling us. Consider Reading all of Matthew 24 and ask the Holy Spirit to reveal the truth.

We also must forgive our enemies and pray for them.

We must endure that until the Lord says it is finished.(“The Days Will Be Limited For The Elect Sake”).

We must be ready at all times — repent often, pray, study the word and do what the Holy Spirit asks out of obedience.

    Leviticus 19:18
Do not take revenge or bear a grudge against members of your community, but love your neighbor as yourself; I am Yahweh.

    Matthew 5:43-44
43 “You have heard that it was said, Love your neighbor and hate your enemy. 44 But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you,

    Matthew 22:36-40
36 “Teacher, which command in the law is the greatest?”
37 He said to him, “Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. 38 This is the greatest and most important command. 39 The second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself. 40 All the Law and the Prophets depend on these two commands.”

    Matthew 24:9-31.
    Persecutions Predicted
9 “Then they will hand you over for persecution, and they will kill you. You will be hated by all nations because of My name. 10 Then many will take offense, betray one another and hate one another. 11 Many false prophets will rise up and deceive many. 12 Because lawlessness will multiply, the love of many will grow cold.

13 But the one who endures to the end will be delivered. 14 This good news of the kingdom will be proclaimed in all the world as a testimony to all nations. And then the end will come.

People In Judea Flee To The Mountains
15 “So when you see the abomination that causes desolation, spoken of by the prophet Daniel, standing in the holy place” (let the reader understand), 16 “then those in Judea must flee to the mountains! 17 A man on the housetop must not come down to get things out of his house. 18 And a man in the field must not go back to get his clothes. 19 Woe to pregnant women and nursing mothers in those days! 20 Pray that your escape may not be in winter or on a Sabbath.

    Great Tribulation
21 For at that time there will be great tribulation, the kind that hasn’t taken place from the beginning of the world until now and never will again! 22 Unless those days were limited, no one would survive. But those days will be limited because of the elect.

23 “If anyone tells you then, ‘Look, here is the Messiah!’ or, ‘Over here!’ do not believe it! 24 False messiahs and false prophets will arise and perform great signs and wonders to lead astray, if possible, even the elect. 25 Take note: I have told you in advance. 26 So if they tell you, ‘Look, He’s in the wilderness!’ don’t go out; ‘Look, He’s in the inner rooms!’ do not believe it. 27 For as the lightning comes from the east and flashes as far as the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man. 28 Wherever the carcass is, there the vultures will gather.

The Coming of the Son of Man
29 “Immediately after the tribulation of those days:

    The sun will be darkened,
    and the moon will not shed its light;
the stars will fall from the sky,
and the celestial powers will be shaken.
30 “Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and then all the peoples of the earth will mourn; and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. 31 He will send out His angels with a loud trumpet, and they will gather His elect from the four winds, from one end of the sky to the other.

      1. Oh thank you so so much. It really means a lot that you’ve done that. Always great to find new friends! Have a blessed day. Hayley 😊💕
