Try Something New Tuesday – Take Up Your Shield of Faith

In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.            Ephesians 6:16

Good Morning!  Wow!  This is truly the day which the Lord hath made!  It’s a beautiful day in Florida.  I walked outside and was just awe stricken.  Our power came on about 10 p.m., and about the same time my husband was able to fix the pump on our well.  Woohoo!  My son is still without power in Tallahassee.  He’s heading over this morning.  We are so blessed!

Today is a special day.  It’s my husband’s birthday.  Happy Birthday Britt!!  I’m so grateful for Britt.  He is the most wonderful person I know and I love him so much.  My husband is a perfect example of what Paul was talking about in Ephesians.  He is the head of our household, but he cares for me as he would for his own body.  I’m so blessed.  He supports me and our children no matter what it takes.  What is really great is the closer we grow to God, the closer we grow together!  Last night it seemed like nothing was going right, but we faced the challenges together with few complaints, trusted God and everything worked out fine.  Thanks be to God.

Today, trust God with your challenges.  He will see you through!

  1. I’ve seen this diagram before. I do believe it to be true. I also believe those couples that are uneven aren’t forsaken. Scripture is encouraging saying one spouse can lead an example to the other. If we have the light of Christ on us, His light will touch the spouse. There’s always hope 🙂 It’s something not everyone talks about, but should be talked about.

Praise God for today 🙂 may your husband have a wonderful birthday!
