Lack of understanding of information concerning your purpose leads to destructive attitudes and lifestyles. Hosea 4:6
Happy Tuesday! Have you ever wondered “why am I here?” or “what is my purpose in this life?” Do you feel like you are lost and wandering like the Israelites? Are you banging your head against the same obstacles over and over, day after day? I know how you feel.
I have spent many years wandering and wondering why things never turned out as I planned. I have tried this and that, and become a “Jill of all trades” trying to figure out where I fit. Then, when I finally knew, I didn’t like the answer and I wandered some more. You can run, but you can’t hide.
If you have plans that are not working out, it is because you are not listening to God. In 1 Corinthians 12:18 Paul tells us that God placed all of us here with a specific purpose. If you study your Bible, you will find where Jeremiah, Esther, David, Paul and Jesus had a specific purpose in their lives (Jer. 1:5, Esther 4:14, Luke 4:18, and Acts 13:22, 36). These are just a few examples. So, if you are relying on yourself to find your purpose, your frustration is in the fact that you are not relying on God. Relying on yourself leads to feeling lost and unfulfilled. The answer is to glorify God and look to him for answers. Your purpose may be to help someone, and that is okay, because when we fulfill our God-given purpose no matter how small it might seem, the reward is the same.
Today, start seeking out your God-given purpose. God bless you.
