Forgiveness Thursday – Humility

Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit, but with humility of mind regard one another as more important than yourselves;”
‭‭Philippians‬ ‭2:3‬ ‭NASB‬‬

It’s Forgiveness Thursday and there is always something to ask forgiveness for and someone to forgive.  Take a few minutes out of your day to address forgiveness!

Have you ever thought about what it means to be humble?  Do you associate humility with weakness?  Do you know anyone who lives with humility?

Someone who walks in humility gives their life away to help others.  They sincerely place the needs of others above their own.  They leave their pride behind to build up and serve.  Humble people honor God above all, and illuminate his glory.  They trust and follow God’s plan instead of what they want.   They ignore Satan and their own pride, and understand the need for grace.    I know a few people who walk with humility, but Jesus is the best example.  Jesus wasn’t weak, but he led his life to help others and died for the sins of people past, then present, and future.  Humility is a character trait that we should all strive to perfect.  When we use our lives to lift up others, we don’t have time to focus on our troubles or see their weaknesses.  That means we are happier and less depressed.  Isn’t that great!  What better way to live than in humility!

Take time to practice humility today!  God bless you.
