Use Your Gifts to Change the World Wednesday – Be there

God will direct my steps.  Proverbs 3:5-6

Have you ever known someone who was in so much pain that you couldn’t say the right thing?  Have you wondered what to pray because you don’t know how to help? Sometimes using your gifts
means just being there.  Some people have not grown to the place of putting all their trust in God.  They let their fear and anxiety control and rule their lives, mostly because that is all they know.  Sometimes the situation is so devastating that they can’t see beyond it.  In these times it doesn’t help to preach or point out what they should do.  The best thing to do is pray for God’s will, and just be there.  Lend an ear and a shoulder to cry on.  God knows what to do.

if you know someone who is suffering today pray for God’s will and just be there.  God bless you.

  1. A BIG Amen to that! I am reminded of those challenging words by St. Francis of Assisi, “Preach the Gospel at all times, If necessary use words.” I say they are challenging because we Christians always feel the need to preach Scripture and pray, when many times God has called us to be an answer to someone’s prayer but most important, to live out Scripture.
