Give thanks with a grateful heart. 1 Thessalonians 5:18
Happy Thanksgiving Eve! Over the past few weeks I have thoroughly enjoyed listening to Billy Graham. He recently celebrated his 99th birthday and SeriusXM established a temporary channel so people could listen to his messages. Yesterday was supposed to be the last day. I learned this morning that the time has been extended a few more days. If you haven’t ever heard Reverend Graham, I have discovered that his messages are timeless. What he was preaching in the 1970s is still relevant today. It’s hard to believe that people still face the same issues, when the world is so different. So today, I am thankful and blessed for the opportunity to hear Reverend Graham preach. I encourage you to take advantage of this opportunity. You won’t be sorry.
Have you ever just wanted to run away from your life? You can run, but you can’t hide. God always knows where you are and what hurts you. Besides, no amount of running will help. There’s only one thing that will make your life better. So, if you are running away from your problems today, stop and get right with God. Then, count your blessings. Think of all the things you have to be thankful for, not just at Thanksgiving, but everyday. If you know someone who is running, gently guide them to our sweet Lord. What better way to use your gifts!
God bless you.
