Be Kind and Lift Others Up

Love endures with patience and serenity, love is kind and thoughtful, and is not jealous or envious; love does not brag and is not proud or arrogant.
‭‭1 CORINTHIANS‬ ‭13:4‬ ‭AMP‬‬

Happy Saturday!  I watched the movie Wonder with my grandson today.  There are so many lessons to be learned from the movie, not only for children, but also adults.  If you haven’t seen the movie, I highly recommend it.

One thing I liked about the movie was it showed the background on each character.  Sometimes I think it would be great to understand each person’s perspective.  Have you ever wondered what was behind someone’s words or actions?  For example, someone who has struggled might say something out of jealousy to someone who floats through life.  Another example might be an overprotective parent, who had experienced something in their past. These are simple examples.  There are many more.

Regardless, life is a mystery.  Have you ever wondered why? Well, the truth is we don’t know, because the scriptures teach us to love one another regardless of another person’s circumstances. Everyone is struggling with their own choices and evil in the world around them.  When we build each other up in God’s love in the midst of our own struggles, we will find the greatest peace and happiness.  This is not something anyone gets right all the time, but something for which to strive.

As you go through the day, just be kind to everyone and spread God’s love.  God bless you.

  1. I don’t know where our new neighbors came from, Mars? I hardly see their faces. They all have their doors closed and keep everything to themselves.

    1. That’s true everywhere I think. People rely on the Internet, but human interaction is still important.

  2. Great post! Don’t we wish a little kindness could be restored back into our culture once more? How the world has changed over the decades I’ve been alive! Civility and tolerance of others is dying. Wouldn’t it be a boring world if we all looked, acted and thought alike – the critics would still complain, 🙂

  3. I try to smile and say hello to everyone I pass. Seeing the look of surprise on some of their faces is priceless. Even something simple can make someone’s day a little better.
