Tell Me Something Good Monday – The Holy Spirit

The amazing grace of the Master, Jesus Christ, the extravagant love of God, the intimate friendship of the Holy Spirit, be with all of you.
‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭13:14‬ ‭MSG‬‬

Happy Monday!  I hope your day is going wonderful and you are enjoying life.

When you are studying the Bible, do you ever have an “aha” moment?  Have you ever read or heard something time and time again, and then for some reason, you seem to just get it?  I can’t tell you how many times this has happened to me.  Then, when I feel confident of my new found knowledge and begin to share it with others, I realize they will never know what I’m talking about because they have to learn it for themselves.

I’m not an expert, but I believe this is the Holy Spirit showing me what I need to know.  The more I love God and want to do things for Him, the more the Holy Spirit shows me little bits of helpful life information.  As a matter of fact, I was sitting here thinking that everything we really need to know in life, we can learn from studying the Bible, praying and building a better relationship with God.  You might be thinking, the Bible doesn’t teach me how to operate my new phone or how to wash the dishes.  You’re right, but the Holy Spirit sure does make the little things in life easier when we are focused on our relationship with God.  Plus, the Bible has many indirect lessons.  Don’t misunderstand me.  I’m not referring to following the letter of the Old Covenant law.  I’m talking about learning and being open to spiritual lessons as they present themselves.

If you are on this track and haven’t heard from the Holy Spirit, remember it takes time.  You might not be ready and you might not be listening.  Be diligent and don’t give up.  I hope you have a wonderful day.  God bless you!

  1. I couldn’t find my keys once and spent too much time looking all over the house for them. I kept thinking I should pray and ask the Holy Spirit where they were, but didn’t because I was convinced I would find them. I finally gave up and asked. I immediately got, “look in your Pictionary box.” I laughed. There’s just no way! I kept looking. Finally, I gave up and reached for the the Pictionary. There were my keys!
