Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.
James 1:2-4 NIV
Happy Monday! This week Landon turns four-years old. His birthday party was last weekend, and I saw him make the transition from baby to little boy. It’s sad in some ways to see him grow up so fast, but nice to see how smart and well-adjusted he is becoming.
Life is a little like that too. We may go through a series of bumps in the road, and one day find out that maybe it is not through any fault of our own. It’s easy to become distrusting of those around us because of trials we have experienced. However, James tell us that we should find joy in life’s trials, because we are being sharpened with patience and maturity. Being sharpened can be painful, but as we receive the rewards the pain fades much like childbirth does for a mother when she holds her new baby.
I hope your Monday holds opportunities for growth and joy! God bless you.
