“For who is greater, the one who is at the table or the one who serves? Is it not the one who is at the table? But I am among you as one who serves.”
Luke 22:27 NIV
Good Morning and Happy Wednesday!
This morning I am so thankful for the opportunities that are set before me. However, this positive growth I have experienced is not a result of anything I have earned. For many years I spun my wheels against the walls that I felt confined to, bucking the system with a bad attitude because of injustices I have seen and felt. Then, one day something changed. Instead of serving myself, I decided to serve others. That is when I felt pure joy, and also when things began to change in my life. My heart has been touched by listening to stories of people who are around me everyday. This in turn has opened doors of opportunity for me. It was the simple act of listening, keeping the stories of others confidential, and letting God lead the way.
Sounds easy and the process is simple, but it takes practice and a change of heart. When we are able to let go of pain and unhappiness, God uses us and our pure hearts to serve others. It is absolutely wonderful!
If you are struggling, let go of any bitterness in your heart and turn to God. Have a wonderful and blessed day!
