Forgiveness Thursday – beating the isolation battle

“I will exult and rejoice in your steadfast love, because you have seen my affliction; you have taken heed of my adversities, and have not delivered me into the hand of the enemy; you have set my feet in a broad place.”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭31:7-8‬ ‭NRSV‬‬

It’s Forgiveness Thursday! It’s a great time to forgive others and ourselves as Christ forgives us!

I woke up this morning complaining and griping. I don’t know what came over me, but I knew it wasn’t good. For me a little praise music and a devotional did the trick. Then, just when I thought I was okay, something negative came flying out of my mouth. Of course, there is nothing God can’t overcome. When we turn to Him, He will carry us through.

Have you ever thought about how others look to us for stability? It is our faith that gives us the stability we need in life. Other people need us to be brave. So, we should strive to live a stable life grounded in God. When we mess up, and we will, we should make it right as soon as possible.

Have a wonderful day. God bless you.

  1. “a little praise music and a devotional did the trick.” I agree with you on this as this has been my experience too. It’s simply amazing what listening to anointed praise and worship songs and just being calm and restful in God’s presence can do. I like what you wrote very much and encourage you to push yourself further. Seems to me there is something waiting to give on the other side. just needs a step up in faith from you. if there’s something you’ve been considering for a while but postponing, I believe it is time to cast your net on the other side. Will be cheering you on.

    1. I feel like I was a little distracted for a time, but during my recent time off I found clarity. As far as casting my net, you are very wise. Doors have been opening unexpectedly, and I am stepping out in faith. Thank you for your comments and encouragement. Blessings.

      1. Happy for you. It is important we rely on the Lord and then follow the leading of the Spirit. Always works out in our favour in the long run although it may seem difficult at the beginning. Keep moving forward Kay, I will be cheering you on. Feel free to share thoughts as you feel, will be happy to help.
